Weather was nice on this day, and we got a bit of a late start (due to staying up late the night before). We walked around (Benton found a street with a bunch of cafés), and grabbed breakfast. At breakfast, David got a huge pastry, and the rest of us got more normally sized pastries. We then walked over to the funicular (Funicular de Artxanda), getting some nice views of Bilbao. Instead of taking the funicular back down as originally planned, we decided to walk down the hill and back into town. Elizabeth and Yilinn led the way, but Benton, David, and Allan decided to take their own route once they started having to follow the others through a backyard/trail (turns out that route was fine/didn’t last too long).
After getting back into town, Yilinn took a piss, Benton grabbed some yogurt-flavored ice cream, and we all met up in Plaza Nueva. Finally, we walked back to the apartment (tons of walking overall).
For dinner, we went to a Greek place, (Yilinn was having chest pains, but consulted with a friend in med school and decided to wait it out). At dinner, Allan convinced David to try eating a whole clove, which was entertaining. After dinner, we played more Tractor, but went to bed at a slightly more reasonable hour this time.
Memorable thing/highlight of day:
Benton: Hit 22k steps today.
Yilinn: Follow Elizabeth; she may send you through bushes, but you will get where you need to go.
